Em Grasmeder is the Data Witch of ThoughtWorks Germany. Aside from writing code and uttering incantations, Em spends time playing the banjo or mandolin, falling off her skateboard, and spreading anarchist propaganda. After failed careers in both schoolbus driving and experimental economics, Em taught herself to write software. Em is especially interested in genetic programming and the ethical challenges presented by capitalism to the field of data science.
