Called as the "Queen of patterns". She is the author of numerous books and an internationally known presenter on topics related to patterns, retrospectives, agile development approaches, and the change process. Linda has a Ph.D. from Arizona State University in the field of object-based design metrics and a background that includes university teaching and industry work in telecommunications, avionics, and strategic weapons systems.
As the names suggest, the pattern that repeats in her work is her work with patterns! Rising has extended the use of patterns, building upon the work of Christopher Alexander on a pattern language for architecture and the work of the 'Gang of Four' on patterns for software development. Linda trains people for making 'fearless changes' in the organizations, with her community "Linda Rising LLC".
