Java 2020: Containerized, Serverless, CloudNative

A lot has happened to Java ecosystem in last 5 years. Despite numerous predictions of Java's death, it's alive and moving forward at a light speed. This talk will give an overview of features (cache, JIT/AOT) and tools (GraalVM, Micronaut, Quarkus) that make Java ready for the future. Also, I would like to share my experience of using and tuning Java applications in various cloud-native and containerized environments: choosing base image, planning Docker image hierarchy, fat JAR vs. thin JAR, multi-container setups and service discovery.

What will the audience learn from this talk?
How JVM fits into containerized and cloud-native deployments with lots of technical details and real-life experience sharing.

Does it feature code examples and/or live coding?
Code examples will be shown during the presentation
