Increasing Collaboration with Collaboration Cards & Guest Leadership
Usually we think of leaders in large terms: Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Steve Jobs, and so. However, small, temporary acts of leadership happen every day, forming the glue that holds civil society together. These include helping a shorter person put a bag in the overhead compartment, organizing neighborhood cleanups or starting petitions to change the government. These are moments of “guest leadership”. Guest leadership is becoming increasingly important in decentralized and younger organizations.
In this workshop day, we will explore:
- What increases collaboration? and
- How can we enhance guest leadership around us?
The workshop is just that: a workshop. There will be little lecture, aside from explanation of the collaboration cards and the concept of guest leadership. The bulk of the day will be spent exploring your own personal use of the collaboration elements and working out ways to enhance guest leadership around you.
